So after so many acoustic nights I guess it'd be too much to hope for another one even nicer nylon-based sounds and, oh, who knows, Yamandu Costa?

Anyone ever heard about a certain Debut C before?

19 March 2025
Sheryl Bailey guests with Frank Vignola, Ted Rosenthal, Gary Mazzaroppi and Alex Raderman.

I made the trek from KC this week (just got back a couple hours ago), and spent the evening at Birdland and saw Cyrille Aimee first, then went downstairs for Guitar Night after getting a vinyl signed by her and having a brief chat. Both shows were a lot of fun to watch and people say Birdland is kinda touristy, but I thought it was still had a good vibe. The goat cheese/arugula salad was delicious too. It's always surreal seeing people in real life that you've watched on youtube quite a bit.

I liked how he sang the appropriate verse out of tune ... and then continued to sing just ever so slightly out of tune

And his solo CDs Body and Soul and Quiet Now are amazing among an excellent discography.

Do you think he might be efficient about it, and just knows things like "oh, here I could play all the notes between ? and ? (if I just do it fast enough that no one notices the outliers)"?

I think he knows the notes he plays. I was not criticizing his playing, just sayin'...

Yes, I read that too.
