I think what you see is the clip-on tuner.

No, the entire headstock looks like it's either dirty or the finish is very dull. It's not the same as the body, which looks almost new. The photo posted above doesn't show what I'm referring to, you would need to watch part of the video to see it.

The Sam Raderman show was a lot of fun to watch. I think I'll be making the trek from KC to Birdland next month. I do wish they'd release the guitar night schedule, although I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Cyrille Aimee either.
-
They generally announce the guests in a block of two months at a time. You can generally find them at the bottom of an event page on the Birdland website.

Thx again for the weekly reminder.. Wonderful players and certainly the most lively evening in a long time, audience loves it and the players are having a ball. But, Joscho is a monster player.

Just a head's up to anyone like myself who usually doesn't watch live but the next day,Mike Stern is the guest on 3 of the shows in April,so if you can't catch it live you will not have the opportunity for a replay if things play out like before.

Oh I Know, never said I didn't like a good acoustic gypsy jazz guitar, these guys could definitely play !

(now when I'm actually there that is a different story, so I'm mainly talking about watching a video).

There's a whole bunch of songs from more classic jazz repertoire, they played well over 1 1/2 hours and they got up to 4 guitarist at a time featuring 2 other players near the end of the evening.

Yah, as was noted by some, I prefer electric jazz guitar, I just feel it's harder to get a good clean note/ chord sound on an acoustic but,

That gypsy + evening had more to it, again I'll point to Joscho a phenom of the genre..Worth the price of admission by himself. And I'll say i prefer Frank's solos on gypsy but there were no slouches there!
