Al Gafa was back. He plays wonderfully.

Al Gafa guests with Frank Vignola, Ted Rosenthal, Gary Mazzaroppi and Alex Raderman.

He needs to get the inlay fixed on the guitar. It is driving me crazy and not the most difficult job but touchy.
-
Maybe he’s got filler in there.

He sure plays nice.

Great. I really dig Chris Flory.

At least onecan find it quickly on a dark stage floor without stepping on it. (The latter consideration assumes that you play on stages where there is proper lighting.)

Off topic but....
I discovered Al Gafa in my local record library when I was about 15, recorded the album on a cassette & it took me 30 years to find it again on eBay...now I'm watching this gig on my big tv & decent speakers - ain't technology grand..
-
Multiple glitches/technical issues on last night's stream. It just hung for minutes, more than once, then just abruptly ended. No idea what went wrong, but obviously something did.
-
Thanks for the heads up. I'm watching this one anyway, I love Chris Flory's playing as much as Al Gafa. Makes me happy to see guys who played with the greats (Being with Dizzy and Goodman in the later years) having some time in the spotlight.

-
It's just a 17 minute video.
-
I left a comment about it. I'm guessing there was some kind of connection or server problem during the livestream but let's see if a free birdy answers and more importantly, let's hope they have a non-corrupted local copy that they can upload to replace the livestream.

Sad we missed Moon Glow.

You should have opened your curtains for the free, all-night-long original version ('t was at a waning gibbous 60% yesterday)

I was just wondering if I was going to ask if anyone had seen it! I've been telling myself to go have a look each time I read about it, but that was always during daylight hours. I have been going out every night alright, but to hunt slugs and like my mom I don't have eyes at the back of my skull

I'm afraid everything during the freezes is gone, and all that was recorded was what is available now, 17 minutes and 14 seconds, and not all of that has audio. It's a shame, but sometimes technology is less than perfect. At least we can hear something.
-
In this recording, yes, evidently. Doesn't exclude the possibility that they had a local copy running, even if that would probably be only the audio.

Seems the most likely indeed, I certainly wouldn't have thought anything different if they used just a single fixed video/view and a pair of mics somewhere in/above the audience.
Guess I'm still living in the time where, if there was some sort of recording/mixing going on there would usually be at least 1 player or singer who'd ask to hook up one of these:

Is anyone else having difficulties watching tonight's show (10/30)? The page won't load. I watch using a desktop with Windows and Google Chrome on a monitor. All other pages will load and play videos.
