Kris has proved he's a master at gathering together every known version of All Blues in the WORLD!

Some of them aren't bad. But I still like mine, done today. Well, yesterday technically. It's simple, straightforward, and rather nice :-)

I listened to all the versions I posted. And I must say that this is a huge material of didactic and analytical knowledge.
The masters play brilliantly and you can learn a lot by listening to them.
Interestingly, I didn't get bored with this tune-All Blues at all.
Despite the fact that no one here plays on fours or in a funky style.
Almost always there are elements from Miles' original recording.
How did I listen to it?
I pay attention to phrasing, solo structure and I'm interested in the melodic lines used on the basic chords.
It is a very important material for the so-called jazz theory.
All the more so because the musicians differ stylistically and play with different expressions.
Happy analytical listen-This is a great training.
    Best
    Kris

It seems that All Blues is one of the most performed blues among jazz musicians around the world.

Chet was doing that in 4/4 which was different. But I'd still only take the Kind Of Blue version to the desert island. I like that one.
Chet Baker not doing All Blues in 4/4... Check it again...

Definitely one of my favourite tunes to play... very groove friendly and laid back.

Why don't we also post our take on it?

A separate thread should be created for your own presentations.
This confrontation with masterful performances is probably not the best idea.

Even the singer (Rachel Gould) can be heard counting it in 3 (or 6, to be precise) at the start.

A confrontation with the tune, not with the giants, of course...

I think at about 3.25 it morphed into swing 4/4.

    Looking on AI:

'Chet Baker played Miles Davis's "All Blues"—originally in 6/8 time—in various arrangements, including in 4/4 time, particularly during his later live performances in the 1980s. While the song is renowned for its waltz-like feel, it is often rearranged, and Baker frequently explored different rhythmic interpretations of standards.'

I've checked it. You're right, I'm wrong, it's 3/4 all the way. Sorry! Carry on, never mind the fool :-)

    11/4 is not normal!

This is a nice version, too. With a "Bolero" like intro, even 8ths feel and great solos
