Yes I really hope so. As you might have read in this thread, we did publish an Android version albeit a 'lite' version but it didn't have all the functionality of the iOS version and we withdrew it in April. We are hoping to launch a fully-functioning Android version in Q1 2026

I got those "lite' versions for android.
I find there are great.
So I'm sure I will love your 2026 quartet for android...

Today I filmed myself practicing Jobim's "How Insensitive" using the app and decided to post it here.
I recorded the Bass/Drums as well as the Bass/Drums/Piano mixes and then did some cross-fading so that I could play the first theme without piano.
I think Paul mentioned in this thread that there are plans to add sort of an arrangement feature to accomplish what I have done with cross-fading two different mixes.
Since the track is fairly static in intensity; I also added some light percussion so that every chorus builds slightly to give the track some dynamic shape. (these instruments are not from the app)
I am not a paid supporter of the Quartet app, and I can honestly say that despite a few limitations it is definitely worth much more than the asking price and well worth having.
Looking forward to seeing the app develop; thanks for creating such a great tool!

Hi Paul, thanks, glad you liked it. I'm just playing in the mood of the track and on the meaning of the tunes' lyrics.
I made some suggestions for future improvements to the Quartet app over the website and had one more that probably would not be too difficult to implement.
Would it be possible to add a volume control for the count-in? Or at least reduce the volume level by about 50%.
(For the forum members); I also suggested that there could be an option for slightly changing the relative levels of the instruments in a mix without losing the possible revenue that Quartet earns from selling the isolated tracks.

Hi there. Paul here. We are introducing an alternative hi-hat count-in which will be available via global settings. Lots of users have suggested this. This missed the last update but will be available in the next one (January) PLUS we are working on an exciting long list of improvements suggested by hundreds of users. I can't say too much about these but the issue of mixing/relative instrument volumes is one of the many things you will see firmly addressed in January. Thanks again Paul

ok, thanks for the info.
The app is already great, these changes are really just small things that occur to me when using it.

No problem thanks for sharing. Paul

I used a good wifi connexion.
I work on an ipad A16 .
Unfortunately, the bass + drums mix is the main mix I need to use.
I have purchased Quartet bundle 2 week ago so I use the last version.
Can anybody help ?

Can you reinstall the apps?

I would contact Tech Support.
Does it happen with all songs?

I did contact but no answer

I have same iPad model. Have not experienced this bug.
I wonder if there is some setting or other app that is creating conflict with the Quartet app.
Maybe the Quartet rep here can help.
-
Thank you again for help anyway

I've gone back over my emails and here's my response to try to tackle this issue...as I say, you may not have received it.
The reasons the alternative mixes may not be downloading according to our development team are:
1. Firewall in your wifi set up preventing a download from Amazon AWS (which is where the alternative mixes are downloaded from). A work device for example may well be configured to prevent a download from Amazon. Remember the alternative mixes are downloaded as required from Amazon AWS while the TRIO mix downloads with the initial app download.
2. Insufficient space on your device (doubtful since each mix is c4MB)
3. A corruption on your device meaning some apps don't perform as they should
Have you tried the following?...
1. Delete the app from your device. Power off device completely. Power on device again. Reinstall from the App Store. Did that resolve the issue?
2. Can you try downloading one of the alternative mixes from a completely different wi-fi set up? Cafe, friend's house etc... Did that resolve the issue? If so, this would suggest it's a network/wi-fi setting. Your wifi may be working absolutely fine BUT not prepared to communicate with Amazon AWS??
In 2 of the 3 cases we have had of this (that have been reported to us), the problem has been resolved by wiping clean the iPad. I'm not suggesting doing that but just telling you that this action solved the issue.
I'm really sorry that I can't give you more info on this...it is pretty isolated but we are happy to work with you to get it resolved.
You can talk direct to us at [email protected] or [email protected]

It's unlikely to be a general settings issue since we are pretty sure that we have workarounds for the few known settings issues and this is specifically internet-related. It's very likely a network issue. One of the 3 users I mentioned took it to the Apple store who wiped the device clean and it worked no problem afterwards. We want to help our users resolve any problems, so if that's the only route, we may be able to cover the cost (if there is a cost involved). Of course we can refund you for the apps but that's probably not what you'd prefer.
Please let us know. [email protected]

One more video using the Quartet app. Doxy from Sonny Rollins.
Inspired by the video of saxophonist Bob Mintzer and Chuck Isreals playing Doxy in duo on YouTube.
Mintzer plays just the right balance of bluesy and on the changes.
Thanks to Paul and the team at Quartet for making this inspiring app.
I found myself using standard playbacks infrequently due to the un-musical and often heavy-handed nature of the recordings.
Quartet is much closer to the feel of playing with live musicians. (I am not a paid supporter of Quartet)
