    Need the melody.
Download bass and drums and record the melody? The comp for it?

    Presumably it’s a copyright issue

Meaning, i know most real book songs by heart, but it's good to see the lead sheet, especially when changing keys. Unless there is a choice to zoom out and vertically see the whole tune?

P.S. I see the subject was already addressed above. Waiting for the next update i guess!

Hi. Sorry for delay in responding. YES you are right. Whole new design in the MAJOR update released in 3-4 weeks. Has whole song to one screen with printable PDFs for 650 standards. Plus loads of other new stuff including mixer with automated mixing so you can pre program a different mix for each chorus repeat. We have listened and hopefully we can deliver!!

Yes of course. Best source of melodies is the Real Book/Fake Book from Amazon...

    Amazon.co.uk

Also the site secondhandsongs.com is a wonderful source to find all the releases of every jazz standard in one place. Many of the versions have links to YouTube videos. Its a fantastic resource.

I think maybe having all of the bass audio files outside of the app would not be so convenient as I imagined.

I guess you will have to see if integrating the in-app mix purchases into a "pro" Quartet app version makes financial sense.
The latest update for Quartet apps (1-6) now includes the MULTITRACK export option as a free option. So you can now download EITHER the stereo mix OR the original multitrack as high quality WAV at NO COST!

I don't know if you welcome hearing app suggestions/wishes here on the forum, or prefer them through direct contact over the website.

I know that you offer the purchase of all of the audio files separately for €59,99 per app, but would it be possible to just offer single instrument audio files?

I am interested specifically in purchasing just the bass files.

Please let me know if there is an official (or unofficial) way to get the Bass files.

Even better would be having the option to purchase all of the isolated Bass tracks, and being able to have them play as another "mix" option of just the bass.

Another wish/option would be to have sort of a "Pro" app version where you could select just the Bass, Drums, or Piano as isolated instrument mixes within the app.

Hope this doesn't sound too thankless! Really love the app.

If you update to the latest version (April 2026 Quartet 1-6) you can now download any of the songs in multitrack WAV format at NO COST. This is in the App Store as a FREE update right now.

The major update for Quartet is due in 3 -4 weeks with a whole new layout and loads of new features and improvements by the way. Not long to wait.

YES - the major update is 3-4 weeks away. Currently in testing. Optional portrait view, optional whole song to one screen view, downloadable PDFs for every song, automated mixer and more!

I see that the quartet app has been recently withdrawn from the android store, (presumably cause it's difficult to cater for so many different phone brands and models compared to apples one iphone and many features had to be omitted).

Any future plans for Android users? I was about to buy the app as soon as they support full page score viewing..

    Hi there

Apologies for the delay in responding.

We withdrew the Android version in April 2025. Launched in January 2025. It was a slimmed down version with less functionality but the same audio. Many people complained that it wasn't the same as the iOS version so we thought best to take it off the market.
Yes we will be producing a fully-functioning Android version modelled on the NEW version of Quartet for iOS (portrait option/ full song to one screen/mixer/automation/re-route of drums etc...) which will be released in the next 3 weeks or so. Was supposed to be ready for end May but we hit a number of programming issues which are now resolved so we are about to test the final version hopefully by the end of the week and then fix the inevitable bugs before release.
Anyway, the new version of Quartet is quite different from the current one and this is the one we plan to model for Android.
I can't say exactly when it will be released but I would hope that it would be by Autumn 2026.

    Hope that all makes sense.
    Regards
    Paul
