Any other Americans working the holiday?

Tomorrow is 4th of July holiday, but many people get today off of work because it is the weekday before the holiday.

We need one person to cover at my job and it's me. Bleh. Anyone else? And then when I get out, I have to be on call.

I’m off, but feeling disappointed overall.

I was born in 1983 and in my childhood there were echoes of the bicentennial celebrations everywhere. I always thought 250 would be another national celebration. This is just another year.

It seems '76 was made a bigger deal, but I wasn't there; and I don't know where I got the idea. I'm sure it was though

Whole different era Allan.Whether you were left or right,the majority of people were proud to be American.Gerald Ford was president and he did his best to bring the nation together after Watergate unlike leadership today which just seeks to divide and profit off it.

I gotta good paying but somewhat annoying gig tonight but nothing tomorrow so I'm smoking a brisket and plan on drinking some beer and eating the first tomatoes I have ever managed to grow to celebrate. Who knows, I might even have a shot or two of wild turkey.

Tomorrow we are going to the Fourth of July fest one town over. Kiddos can get wrist bands 2-6pm for rides. Then back home for burgers, hot dogs and a swim to cool off. Then right back over for fireworks.
