    No doubt.

I've seen a lot of videos the last 4-5 years about a mafia war in Japan in the 1980's. The only reason I know anything about it is because the guy who started it told me.
AI gives good advice sometimes. It said not to discuss it. Ignorance is bliss. I don't understand the point of these videos and I don't know who makes them. Just leave me out of it.

We should all be fearful of a war involving the nukes of today. The fallout from such a war could become an extinction event for all of humanity.

The bible says we are to fear God only, not to worry about tomorrow, and promises that the earth and those who love God will endure forever.

Somehow, I don't think that the folks who wrote that book (Jews and Romans) contemplated nukes.

And that one is the fastest growing religion. It seems that the promise of 72 virgins works. Good marketing is important.

It's irrelevant what has been invented since that time. While people cower in caves that will become their graves we trust in the promises made. Fear and worry is for the disbeliever.

IMO that's extremely over-simplified. You can be a believer, but have a daughter with cancer and worry about her and be scared for her. It doesn't mean you are a disbeliever.

As for the grand, general events-at-large, such as governments, wars, aliens etc... yes; I agree there's no point in worrying about them or living in fear of them. Whether you are a believer or not. If something is free from your power to change it, your mind should also be free from it.

The command of the Lord in Matthew is not to worry about your food, clothes, your body, your life, etc. So if something causes you to worry, you aren't obeying his command. If my daughter has cancer, fasting and prayer should be my substitute for worry and fear.

Everyone has their own take on scripture... but IMO "substitute" is the wrong word. As if you could fast & say a prayer and your worries disappear. This is false. God doesn't take away your tribulations, he helps you to handle them. It's not removing worry and fear, which is not possible. Except for psychopaths who are literally emotionless.

Worldly concerns will always exist, but you can you choose not to spend the day letting them rule your thoughts i.e worry. Prayer, and worry, are both actions. You can choose the course of action you take.

OK, that's more precise. It sounded like before you were saying "I don't ever worry or have fear because I have God", and that's simply not the way it works, nor how He intended it to work, IMO. There's no such thing as life without suffering (of which worry and fear are 2 forms).

"Choosing not to worry about a daughter with cancer" is ludicrous, of course. Faith can HELP with the worry and fear, but it does not remove it; that's not humanly possible (and again, it was never meant to be.)

I hate to tell you but any action of peace cannot involve self. Worry, fear, faith, belief, trying to replace worry with faith and belief, are all actions of fear. Therefore none of it has anything to do with peace because it has nothing to do with love.

I should stay out of this
