Narrowing it to 5 "favorites" is hard, so how about this: looking at my stack of "CDs in recent heavy rotation," I have:

    Nate Radley
    Steve Cardenas
    Chris Crocco
    Mike Moreno
    Steve Khan

I have so many more "favorites," but I'll stick to the rules of the game.

    Howard Alden

My list is also much longer

Like the list especiallly the last three.

Khan is a great musician, but doesn't seems to get mentioned much.

    No particular order

    Kenny Burrell
    Bucky Pizzarelli
    Marty Grosz
    Howard Alden
    Chris Flory

The underrated and often forgotten John Pisano deserves to be in there too.

EDIT: Wow! Six names, only two are under 80 y/o, and they're both in their 50s...

Haha..thanks...I was going to get around to this eventually, but you nominated yourself.

No real plans for this list, but I think it would be interesting to compare it to the Downbeat poll once the votes stop coming in.
