I think it just got buried, I had to go back a few pages.
You're definitely accenting 2 and 4 hard. That bothers some people, I guess. Im fine with it as long as the time is steady, though when I play I shoot for more vanilla and even...
As far as the chord choices, sounded great to me. Not too busy but some forward motion.

A lot of discussion on Autumn Leaves here recently, so here's that one, with an emphasis on the fingers brushing as the pick hits.

A friend on the forum recently asked if I'd put together a short introduction to the Marty Grosz tuning. I was very happy to, because it's a tuning that's given me a great deal of pleasure over the years.
I'm not trying to give a definitive historical account of the various Kress and Grosz tunings. There are different versions and different stories, and others know that history better than I do. My interest here is simply in how this tuning behaves musically.
People sometimes imagine these players are using enormous six note jazz chords all the time. To my ears, that's not really what's happening. The harmony is often remarkably economical. In a way, they're almost the original power chords. They produce a tremendous amount of sound with surprisingly little harmonic information.
Thanks very much for watching.

Alright I really like this book and wish I’d gotten it when I was 16 instead of Mickey Baker
-
-
My jazz guitar hot take is that that book is not good.
-
I like MB. But I first saw that book after I had been playing for years.
As a beginner, I don't think I would have got shit out of it.
-
I always liked the intros in it
-
Moonglow, with kazoo.
-
I use the rhythm changes comping as an intro to Oleo.

Well based on the early responses there's going to be a LOT more kazoo coming.
Rag, I'm really not sure what's so difficult to understand about the concept of Rhythm Guitar, but I agree, GFI lives in Db, even if you gotta know it in F too.
Maybe the amended rhythm guitar definition needs to be "play some quarter notes for crying out loud"
-
put a balloon on the end of the kazoo and see if you can blow it up and make sound at the same time
-
All good stuff, I'm enjoying this thread.
At the very least, I've learned the difference between "Rhythm Guitar" and "Comping Guitar".
-
Okay, quarters.
I'm not bringing anything new to the thread, to be honest. I don't thump a lot, if at all, and I probably don't know much about it. Just shells and all that. The others are doing very well.
When I was very, very young we used to have a wind-up gramophone and a box of 78's. Makin' Whoopee was my fave :-)

Question to all:
Can "Rhythm Guitar" be played with finger picking?
