Care to provide a TLDR? I myself was thinking I should learn a bit more about it given all the controversy.

Maybe watch parts 1 (introduction) and 7 (conclusion) if you are in hurry. I have decided that I think it’s a very fine system for analysis. I can finally understand why it’s popular for advanced music composition analysis.

The Wikipedia page doesn’t do it justice. It’s interesting theory, imo.
