Transcribe! vs Amazing Slow Downer vs VLC vs ???

I've been using the free 'Veed' music slow downer today.

There are a few free online music Slow Downers.

'Veed' seems to be ok for my needs, various file types, it slows down the music.

On my computer, VLC has a slightly distorted and wobbly sound. When I play the same tune on transcribe; athe sound is crystal clear, even at 1/3 speed. (I'm using an I7 with 32 gb ram)

Since this thread has been revived, I’ll throw out a question. Are there any slow-down apps currently out there that are compatible with Spotify? Amazing Slow Downer used to be, but that functionality went away, reportedly due to regulatory issues. I really miss it.
