    'Tenor saxophonist Jimmy McGary was a legendary player in the Cincinnati area. In his career he had performed with musicians such as Miles Davis, Sonny Stitt, Buddy Rich, James Brown. Here he is heard playing the tune Solar which is generally credited to Miles Davis. Accompanied by Steve Schmidt, piano, Michael Sharfe, bass, Art Gore, drums. Captured over the air in 1985 from a series of live broadcasts called "Jazz Live from the Hyatt".'
