Really nice 1962 studio album from the great Sarah Vaughan with Barney Kessel on guitar and Joe Comfort on bass. Barney did some fine work behind singers, notably, Julie London. His iconic playing on London's "Cry Me a River" is widely available on the web. I'd never heard this one before a friend posted it today.

Whoa. Beautiful.
Shes probably my favorite singer. Never got super into Barney though. Fabulous player obviously, so no judgement on the quality. Had the Poll Winners albums but otherwise just not someone I spent a ton of time listening to.
This is a good door to open for me on Barney.
Thank you for your service.

Great album. I did a nice gig a couple of years back playing arrangements from this record. Barney’s comping is mint.

Sarah with Clifford Brown is some of the best music ever recorded. Live in Tokyo or whatever it’s called is up there too. It tracks that this would be … very good.
