My older brother discovered Dr. Feelgood albums while stationed in Japan in the '70s. I heard them all at his place---and liked them---but didn't buy them.
Amazon has a bunch of 'em for around 10 bucks, so I picked up Down By the Jetty, Sneakin' Suspicion, and Malpractice. They came today and I'm enjoying Wilko's kinetic rhythm playing. Fun band.
A few favorite tracks.

I had that Malpractice record when I was a teenager. I really liked Wilko Johnson’s choppy percussive rhythm playing on his Tele, a unique sound. He was a real presence on stage too.
I did see the Feelgoods once, not long after Wilko left. They were still good, but I don’t think it was quite the same without him.

One of my first ever gigs was supporting Doctor Feelgood at Cheltenham Town Hall. I think "Gypie" Mayo was the guitar player then. I preferred his style to Wilco.

saw the current line-up a few weeks ago. clearly not the same but god bless them for carrying the torch.

Wilko cites Mick Green as a major influence.
Another guy who cites Mick and Wilko as big influence is James Oliver, who tours like mad.
From a recent show in Spain.

Wilko also managed to get a part in Game of Thrones (purely on the strength of his menacing stare, apparently).
