I don't think it matters in the least whether they did or did not discuss what they were going to do beforehand, or to what degree.
It's OK with me if Rags doesn't like Moreno. I only wish I could bungle that tune half as badly as Mike does. I'm such a square when it comes to comping.
I thought it was pretty good for a couple of teenagers :-)

Neither do I much :-)

He needed some help, I don't think you helped him, you need more help than him.

Yeah, I was just thinking that!

His playing is clear - I'm talking about a duet recording.
I have already written about the solo version.

Wow thanks a lot! This is super useful. It’s a completely different story now. Very nice!

Modern is outside, otherwise it wouldn't sound modern!

To me it is not so modern, they play tonal tunes, you can't be lost.

It's all very conscious play and no one gets lost.
I did a lot of transcription of his solos.
ps.
Besides, Scof says he comes from the Jim Hall school of playing.

Here Emily and Scof play 'Stella'.They both play great, but each of them has its own language of expression.... does Scof play more modern?
-
Yes, it is very useful. I am working on your soundslice version. It helps a lot. You did a great job by adding the bass and click. Just these two little tricks make a huge difference. Thanks

So we get used of "modern".
Sometimes some say it sounds like Scofield because it sounds bad.
A friend of mine said that this thing sounded a bit like Scofield but in a positive way (he is got perfect pitch).
I think he (Scofield) wouldn't be very happy of this comment.
-
Just because you use distortion doesn't mean you speak Scof's musical language.
Scof' sound has never been bad for me - quite the opposite.
Nobody plays with a feeling like Scof.
