For sale if someone is interested but more seeking opinions on whether cosmetic neck issue is out of line with the price/
Looking at selling my 1989 Ibanez AS100 semi. Serial # info;
Enter Serial Number (e.g., F49121) Japan Decoder H907426
CHECK Built in: Japan Year: 1989 See Ibanez catalog
Production number: 7426
Factory: Terada Musical Instrument Co., Ltd. near Nagano
It's all original but the strings and in good shape for the age. The one flaw is that at some point I got a gouge in the finish in the neck. I wet sanded the finish off and realized I actually prefer the feel of it this way, but didn't bother to do all the way up the headstock so it looks like it has vitiglio;
There are 2 dings on top of the headstock;
Otherwise beautiful for its age;
I'm not sure how much the neck impacts value, I've played it this way for years so no user impact. I bought it in late '89 and use it for the occasional rock or blues gig but I'm not really doing much of that anymore. I would like to sell locally which for me can span Boston to Portland Maine because I'd like the buyer to be able to see it, play it, etc. My initial question is would $850 be a fair price given the neck coloration? (I know several people will gladly give me $200 unseen lol). Thanks!Last edited by StormyMonday; Yesterday at 08:19 PM.

I had a 335 for a number of years but passed it on a while ago. I've been curious about the Ibanez array of semi-hollows but never actually played one. I'm on Cape Cod - are you somewhere near Portsmouth maybe? I'd like to find a way to stop by and see what this guitar feels like. Thanks.
