I still think that the Jocks will make it to the knockout rounds. They may finish bottom of the qualifying 3rd places but that's all you need!

It’s rather pathetic, though. We had shot in the first game which had a double deflection before crossing the goal line; no shots on goal in the second game at all (!); and we’re playing Brazil in the third game. Quite frankly, we don’t deserve to go through based on some weird mathematical formula.
Now, if we win against Brazil…

Watched Argentina with Messi last night.
His control is still superb at 38.
Austria weren't bad, but hadn't got a real striker.
But, it looks like Argentina are beatable, if you can play a high tempo game in the heat.

I hope Portugal wakes up today. Was really disappointed in how they played last week as I had them as a dark horse to win. It's impressive how the Argentine manager has found ways to help Messi at his age...now if Portugal could do the same for CR7 they would be dangerous - their midfield and defense are quite good.
And let's hear it for Cabo Verde! I hope they get a few rounds into elimination!

Yeah, Cabo Verde are most people’s fav other team.
I’ve always liked Portugal as a country and a team, but they haven’t really turned up yet. Maybe they need to ditch Ronaldo…I would. He’s in the way. Tough call, though, for the manager.

I actually thought he was going to play off the bench when he was announced on the team. However Portugal is lacking a great finisher so I can see the dilemma. Plus, CR7 being how he is I'm sure playing off the bench would turn him into a toxic terror. Originally Posted by Rob MacKillop

The canceled Uzbeks goal was beautiful, and it's harsh decision. The defender lost the ball before he was fouled, so it didn't have impact. Oh well.
