Ibanez LGB 30 or the new Pat Metheny guitar with CC pickup .what would you choose..no demo yet of the PM....Both similar priced..

Definitely the PM3C
it reminds me of my long-gone ES175 CC, which was my first guitar equipped with a Charlie Christian PU.
I've had others since and still have some, but I still miss it. This might be a way to replace it at about the price I sold it for, silly me (ok, to be honnest i've not made the correction for inflation !).

There's a test available on the net, but with too many effects for my taste, and you can't hear the real sound of the instrument.

Too bad nobody took a photo of the inside of the guitar to find out whether it's a real reproduction with 2-blade magnets (like those used by Daniel Slaman) or a pickup mounted on some sort of 3-screw base.

I just love the style of the new PMs and would pick one in a heartbeat if I needed another guitar.
