What about Jazz tunes adapted from classical pieces? Maybe there is an example with the classical approach of MM ascending and natural minor descending?

Just saw this for the first time last night. A whole lot of MM (the tune's largely mm-based with some MM montuno), and great playing:

I think the opening phrase of Bach's Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue does this.

There are many many examples. Pick a minor key piece from the 17th century through to the 20th.

Jazz examples of the classical use of the melodic minor scale include Beautiful Love and Autumn Leaves.
