This one may be a hard sell here despite the fact that Holdsworth was one of the most important jazz guitarists ever. Listen to the original, mind blowing composition, changes, playing, solos and vibe... This is my arrangement for solo guitar which I feel captures the tune fairly well despite the fact that the tune was apparently composed and played on a guitar tuned in fifths... Anyway, those who enjoy Holdsworth may enjoy this. Thanks for taking a moment! Jake

Great stuff, that's a very nice arrangement, difficult too. Well done.

I've played a few Allan Holdsworth chordal songs when I was younger, "Above and Below" and "Pudwud". They're incredibly big stretches, that are not good for my hands nowadays.

Before playing this song live, Allan Holdsworth once stated: "Playing the guitar tonight to me feels like pushing the Queen Mary through a sea of Mars Bars."

Thanks very much! I have an arrangement for Pud Wud as well... :-)

Wow, sounds great! I'm not deeply familiar with the Holdsworth catalogue, so if guessing I'd call that a Metheny tune!

That's interesting because I had that very thought many times! There are plenty parallels between them but the tone difference makes it hard to folks to compare.

'House of Mirrors' is one of my fav Allan Holdsworth chordal songs.

(I did try learning the chords years ago, far too much stretching.)

Holdsworth has been cheered on here several times that I recalled. And yours is a good interpretation. I always liked the solos on this song from 1977 when he and ponty were at the height of their powers.

I prefer Allan Holdsworth's later stuff, where there are more complex chords.

No problem. There has always been the chord comping/single note aspects to jazz. Its all good.

Wait, I get it now. You posted under chord melody and I just saw holdsworth. Sorry about that. My fault.
