My solo guitar take on Cry Me a River. Don't be surprised if the first three bars sound familiar; I stole the intro from Barney Kessel because in my head that intro is an integral part of the tune. I'm playing my 1956 Gibson ES-125 (strung with D'Addario flatwound 12s) straight into the amp. The amp is a Henriksen Blu 6 mic'd with a single mic. I hope you find it interesting!

I like these old songs--good

Wow, that's one of the cleanest 50s ES-125's I've seen... and it sounds great! You sound great!
I REALLY want one... I just can never find one in good enough shape at a price I'm willing to pay...
Actually, now that I just said that, I checked reverb, and there are quite a few reasonably priced ones on there (I think?... nothing under $2000, but a vintage instrument in excellent shape, 2 grand doesn't seem exorbitant?)

Thank you! 2 grand is not exorbitant at all for a clean ES-125. I'd expect to pay somewhere around 2.3K - 2.5K. Actually $125 in the year of the introduction of the ES-125 (1941) adjusted for inflation is $2.700 in 2024. I was after those P-90 laminated top sounds from the 50s and I think that my the ES-125 gets me there. I got this guitar last week and even though I'm in the honey moon phase, I think this one is a keeper.
