I found these knocking around on my phone. May be of interest.

Complete with stupid guitarist getting it all wrong (who's that lol?) and Dave Friedman pleading with everyone to stop playing when Barry is talking.

Christian, did BH ever bring up intervals or interval sequences as part of single note teaching? Or was it only 3rds that you know of?

I never heard him talk about larger leaps except as octave displacements (pivots) of scales and chords so effectively 7ths and 6ths.

That only leaves 4ths and 5ths really, strings of which don’t really occur in bop language. I don’t see any reason why you couldn’t use them for a more modern effect. (And for all I know he discussed them elsewhere.)

That's what I thought also. Chris has included intervals in what to practice for a scale (3rds, triads, chords, pivots etc) a couple times after I brought it up. So I'm proud of myself for likely getting him to adopt it when he's really strict about any reinterpretations or expansions of Barry's system.
