    Assuming the G chord in the progression will be played as Gmaj7, G6, G 6/9 etc, I prefer A melodic minor over this progression because none of the notes in this scale clash with any chord tones in the progression. F# is present in both the G chord and the D7, and the F note in the A harmonic minor and F melodic minor scales will clash with the F#. One could simply avoid the F note in the A harm minor scale, but one might as well just change the F note to F# and make it an A melodic minor scale.
