Quick story, years ago a well known jazz critic friend was in line at a supermarket and was behind a woman paying w a check. He noticed it had her name on the check! I asked if he said anything but he said he didn't want to disturb her as she's a very private person. She's lived close to me for many years unbeknownst to moi.

It’s always amazing when some of the living legends walk around just like regular folks. Buying groceries- imagine that!!!
