    Johnny Smith's solo version is one of my favorites. He deviated from the original harmony but it seems perfect to me.

    JS gets around the whole issue of the bass movement in the first couple of bars by employing the 5, #5, 6 line cliche discussed recently in another thread. Chuck Wayne's version is also worth a listen:
