If you don't know any, "Happy Birthday" would be a good place to start.

Actually the "greatest song" is in the Bible. The real title in hebrew of the Song of Solomon is "Song of Songs" which is an idiomatic expression in Hebrew for "The Ultimate Song, the Greatest Song, the SuperSong."
So there.

Fast forward to Hoagy Carmichael. He got a copy of See Dust, fell in love with it and proceeded to cleverly write a reworking of it, titling it Saw Dust, a timely alteration.
But his publisher pointed out that Saw Dust was actually copyrighted as a carpentry work song, a forgettable ditty written in 2x4. Upon recommendation from his publishers, he retitled it and we now have Stardust as we know it.
Just so you can be more informed the next time you need to kill some time introducing this song at a gig or if you need trivia while you're replacing a broken string.
You're welcome.

Surely you don't think he's being "serious"?

So Hoagy C. saw See Dust before he saw Saw Dust... or was it Sea Dust that Hoagy C. saw?
