Duke Ellington - Take the A Train (Jazz Guitar Cover - Live)

Hi all,

Last week, I had the chance to perform a full live set on the scene of a local bar. I'm preparing this jazz cover set for 3 years and it's a like a dream made true to finaly present all this work to some audience. I had a lot of fun that evening and I already have a few other opportunities in the next weeks.

In this cover, I play the theme 3 different ways, with some improv in between.

Very nice! I like the guitar

Very nice and so refreshing. When this tune gets called at the jam sessions I frequent the horn players turn it into something aggressive, or perhaps more exuberant, and playing it much faster, maybe building upon the train metaphor. But your bouncy take nicely brings out its beauty and subtly. And the little bit of a twang bar now and again is a fine touch!
