I learned this tune early on, but for many years it was seen as uncool and nobody wanted to play it. Now, as a solo guitar interpretation, I find it endlessly interesting. Please enjoy!

Love it..!! not only the way you move the melody around the crunchy harmonic movement but the visuals are very cool..and you keep improving

Thanks very much! I’ve really enjoyed the visual side these past few years as I learn new videography tricks and how to incorporate them in a musical way.

In the 80’s and 90’s, Wave was the type of tune associated with student “combos” with their faces buried in real books, or society/function gigs where the press of your tux mattered more than how much repertoire you knew. The real jazz gigs were calling tunes straight ahead bop, fusion or smooth. If a bossa was called (one per set) it would be something cooler, eg. Invitation, Recordame, etc. I mean, it was all pretty stupid and when I think back on how full of themselves some of the groups were, I’m happy all over again to have bailed on that scene and did a full time day gig instead.
