I noticed that musicians have done radically different interpretations of this song, from pop to swing to avant garde.

On the pop end we have.... the attack of the 50 foot Spring Reverb.

Good god, they were all over Moonlight In Vermont but not this one. Ah, well, I like it. Trickier than it looks, actually, because of all the backdoors.

I intend to post a recording of it before too long....

Two guitarists (whom I do not know)

And Bruce Forman goofing around with it:

Here ya go! I got my act together for solo vibes since Mick had requested it.

Very nice! And you're playing chords now - or playing more chords now - I don't recall hearing any in the other vibe recordings you shared here.

Thx! Getting the feel together was the main obstacle for solo vibes. It was wonky when I made early attempts. Getting more than a few months experience plus the full sized vibraphone helped me get it to a presentable level. I'd had decent chordal ability but wasn't utilizing it in the combo tunes because I was choosing to emphasize harmony with the piano. With solo vibes, following the Milt guidance, it seems like it sounds best with melody, shreds, and chords.
