Simple chord melody of this classic tune, be great to hear your versions, this one is in A and comes from some old book I cant remember now.

Nice! I learned a version in E that I really like but no one will play it with me because it HAS TO BE IN THE KEY OF F!

    I play it in F

In the A part I go

    x 8 10 9 x x Fmaj7
    x 8 9 9 x x G6/F
    x 8 8 7 x x Bb/F
    x 7 8 6 x x Edim
    x 5 5 5 x x Fsus2/D
    x 6 6 6 x x Gbsus2/Eb (2nd ending)

In the B part I go

    Gbmaj7 to B13
    Amaj7 to D13
    Bbmaj7 to Eb13

So I do a "reverse Martino" and "majorsevenize" the first chords of those three changes (pinky roots on 5th string)

I like soloing through the B part, but also love just playing the melody which reminds me of the simplicity of the solo in a tune about another girl... Cinnamon Girl
