    Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a lighthearted take on On the Sunny Side of the Street. My 6-year-old daughter Scarlett (who’s just starting out on the jSax) and I had a fun little jam together at home.
Since her horn is in concert C, this tune works really well for her — mostly natural notes, easy to get under the fingers, and she loves the melody. For me, it was just a joy to comp along and trade a few ideas with her.
Here’s the video if you’d like to check it out:

Thanks for listening — this one was more about sharing the fun of the music than a polished performance

Thanks, its the cutest. She really likes Sonny Rollins and Sonny Stitt. Ive been playing her lots of Charlie Parker too. She did her first solo performance at school (not free form but Merry Had a Little Lamb and Saxophone Bells). It's great to see her passion

From little things big things grow. It's good to start young.

Good parenting in action. Well done both of you. Some nifty guitar lines there too, Dan. Her best lines are where she imitates your speed playing. They fit perfectly.

Thanks, I am so glad she really enjoyed it. There will be many more to come. I am trying to teach her call and response.
