Thanks! I shouldn’t take this instrument for granted ever- the compliant rim design by the great Tom Ribbecke!

    Comes with the song, Mark....

No one here can love and understand me,
Oh, what hard luck stories they all hand me.

Make my bed and light the light,
    I'll arrive late tonight,
    Blackbird, bye bye.

Such great tonal definition and separation. And a challenging arrangement, worth more than one listen...

Thank you. The arrangement, is that word applies, is completely improvised. I agree it would be challenging to recreate it and I would find doing so very difficult to do. On the other hand, I could effortlessly make a new one equally to this one in all respects. That’s how I do all my playing.

I assumed that, like much of your posting here, this was an improvised piece. I still consider it an arrangement.

Years ago, I saw an 89-year-old Eubie Blake perform live in San Francisco. He introduced one piece saying something like, "I wrote this piece in... well, I say I wrote it. Actually, I composed it – I couldn't write music until later."
