I don't have a video of it but I saw Kevin Washington with Ethan Iverson and Anthony Cox last Wednesday. The first tune in their set was Bemsha Swing. At the end of one chorus, Kevin played a dominant 7sus4 chord and resolved it to the tonic. On drums. Not possible, but it was plain as day. About the damnedest musical thing I've ever heard.

Yep. My jaw was on the table. Maybe it was a coincidence of the drum tuning, maybe it was deliberate, maybe it was just luck. But it was so clearly there.

Saw some brushes on the ATTYA thread and remembered I created a whole playlist on brush technique:

There was a copy of the Ed Thigpen brush video, but I think it got removed. If you can play some of these patterns on any surface (I've also used my Real Book) you can better internalize how they sound.

I'm still not off the hook for a recorded take of ATTYA. Maybe I need to get a smartphone so I can record a lot easier?
