I keep seeing bits and pieces about NAM file use.

Guy recently posted a demo of a little inexpensive box. I looked online and there are many options going from cheap to really expensive.

Ive looked at a few things and My question is this?

To play live (not record) in my music room what gear do I actually need?

I have my computer. I have a 12 inch cabinet and I have my Quilter SBUS Amp.

My thinking is that anything I put in front of my Quilter SBUS (like a pedal) is going to be significanlty colored by its Fenderish build.
The Quilter does have a fx loop. I dont know if the Fender tones live primarily in the preamp section.

Of course my cabinet is not FRFR. I understand the speaker and cab is going to have an impact. Im not after an exact duplicate of another amp...just an extended palate.

I dont want to compromise sensitivity and dynamics and Id like to dabble. Im not up for spending 600-100 bucks on a box and a new power amp just to mess around. Is there a modest workable solution?
