Hi Guys,
I see UA has released a new plug-in that seems primarily marketed to Rock guitarists. Includes some of their hit pedals: Woodrow, Ruby, Showtime, Enigmatic and Lion(variations of some of these) and 25 pedals and many cab varieties. Showtime sure sounds nice, but it was free:-)
Anyone try out the Paradise demo for clean jazz tones yet? What is working for you?
Thanks for sharing your experiences and suggestions,
Eddie

The Paradise Guitar Studio plugin sure is feature packed, though much more than I need as just a clean and slight edge of breakup fan with a touch of reverb and perhaps a light sprinkle of delay. Most of the demos I have seen on Youtube tend to lean to the heavier distorted tones or more airy ambient stuff. That stated, I would imagine most, if not all, of the amps in the plugin would be able to be tweaked to get a nice clean tone... however, each individual user defines their jazz tone. The amp sims in PGS that I would play around with first would be the Dream '65 Reverb Amp and the Woodrow '55 Instrument Amp models. All the sounds in the demos seem really nice.
The sale price of $149 seems rather good for all the features, if those are handy for ones needs.
My current amp plugin preference is the Neural DSP Morgan Amps Suite and Tone King Imperial MKII. I've practicing with these for about a year. Thankfully I was able to purchase them during one of their 50% off sales.
This video totally sold me on the Neural DSP Morgan Amps Suite plugin. I could listen to this video every day... love the phrasing and expression.

Hey Steve,
Thanks for your thoughtful and informative reply. I have been using Scuffham S-Gear for years and also the Cory Wong X Neural vst.
Lots of great usable and entertaining sounds in these. S-Gear has very good models based on a range of Fenders.
Also have explored hundreds of free amp captures on Neural Amp Modeler by Steve Atkinson. In some ways these captures seem to fall short
since they are only snapshot captures and lack the full range of tweakability like a real amp capture would.
Just the same getting lots of great sounds from them, but you know as guitar guys, more is usually better for fun and exploration and inspiration.
I like all kinds of tones from clean Hendrix to 60-70s blues rock to clean Blue note era Grant Green to overdriven fusion so always on the lookout for variety.
I have heard excellent clean jazz tones from demos of the UA Dream '65 pedal, so would expect similar from the Dream '65 in PGS.
I downloaded UA's Showtime '64 vst last month so I see a discounted price of $129 for PGS. This freebie is still available so if you download it you may see a discount for PGS. If you own a UA pedal or software there should be even better discounts.
I just need to download the demo and check it out!

I think all of these amps have already been available as separate plugins and pedals, this just puts them all in one software.
The UA amps I think are by far the best amp plugins, in terms of sound of feel, much prefer it to Neural DSP. I use the Tweed, Deluxe Reverb and Showman.
