Android, MobileSheets Pro and Airturn BT 500-2. Works great.

Regarding Airturn: Acc. to the manual you can charge either with an USB charger (5V) or a pedal power supply (9V). I never reached 100% charge with the USB charger. I use the 9V charger only.
I tried the Airturn PED pro also, but the switch point was too weak and undefined for me. The BT 500 uses the same simple switcher we know from pedals. Works perfect for me.

Worked with someone who had an iPad running iGig. It collated pdf real books so he could search them all for songs. He had an apple pen to make corrections. It was cool.

I bought the 13 inch Ipad. In landscape mode, I can read a 2 page chart with no page turns. If a chart goes to a third page and doesn't double back, I'm okay with using my hand to turn the page.

I recently played my first two gigs with an Ipad using forscore and no paper charts. Went fine, but I did the setlist and I included only one chart of more than two pages -- and that one didn't have a repeat on page 3, just the coda.

I'm aware that the page turn app/hardware works fine, but my feet are already occupied with my pedalboard and keeping time.

A friend tried a four button device, forward, back, segno and coda, but found it too complicated for gigs. Meaning, it would require some practice.

If I have to play a 5 page chart with a tricky roadmap and the possibility that audibles will be called -- I'm on paper.

Ever since I got my iPad pro some 4 or 5 years ago I never went back to paper. My tow page-turners are stored in the gigbags of my 2 go-to guitars as a re two chargers with cables. Even when my Apple pen is down or at home I can easily take notes/make changes on the sheets with my finger. Never had any issues or mishaps during a concert or show, no reason to change my routine.

I agree that working with a pager requires some training.

I use the 'half page turning' option which allows me to switch to the next half page at any time when I'm down in the lower half of the current page. The upper half of the next page will be displayed in the upper half of the screen. Next step on the pager will display the whole page.

And, for charts with segno and coda I copy the segno or coda pages and add it to the original sheets in such a way that I need to switch only forward and not back and forth. The latter would make me crazy and in a gig situation I would get lost for sure.

MobileSheets and the pager made my life in band much easier (I suppose the ipad pendant Forscore works the same way).

I tried airturn which works good, but i wouldn't get used to the way it turns pages - not like a book, but page by page moving sideways. Since my eyesight is decreasing i decided to buy another used second generation iPadPro 12.7". So i have two of them which allow me to see two pages of A4 or 4 pages of A5 if necessary. These 2017 second generation iPadPro tablets are fairly affordable now and represent good value IMHO. A luxurious situation, but one needs to treat himself well when getting older ;-). And btw. i prefer placing them on a regular sturdy music stand.
