Anyone have any experience with Logic Pro X's built-in amp simulations when it comes to getting good jazz guitar/hollow/semi-hollow body tone? Or for that matter using any 3rd party amp sims like Guitar Rig Pro or Positive Grid Bias Amp?

I'm playing an Epiphone Sheraton Pro II and get really nice tone when playing through a physical amp. But when I plug in direct to Logic Pro X (via a Focusrite Clarett+ 2 audio interface) and play through all the built-in amp sims, I'm struggling to find one that sounds as good as a physical amp without all the overdrive/distortion.

I've had good results with this Fender Twin Reverb simulator - Amped Gemini - ML Sound Lab

I have Garageband, but also use often use logic with a friend. There's a Silverface Twin, a BF Super Reverb, and various tweed plugins in Logic that sounds pretty good and fairly realistic (Ditto for Garageband). I've also used S-Gear (in both Logic and GB). I think S-Gear sounds a little better and is more tweakable than the native Logic plugins, but I don't find the difference to be dramatic.

That’s pretty much what I do fwiw. The distorted standard amp models are hot garbage, but the cleans are decent to my ears.
