Listening to it now. The sound quality of the recording is clean. Wes is recorded eceptionally clear with an upfront placement in the mix.

Wonderful news! It has the killer version of Mi Cosa that I transcribed some years ago from a bootleg recording that I posted recently on the forum.

Is this release in addition to the original Halfnote recording (a la Jim Hall Live Vols 2-4) or is this including the original album?
And is it different from the extended album/CD release from a few years back? As I recall, that recording had added some live radio broadcast recordings or something like that. I remember there being an announcer.

Here's a review of Maximum Swing in The Jazz Guitar Life:
“Maximum Swing: The Unissued 1965 Half Note Recordings” by the jazz guitar icon Wes Montgomery with the Wynton Kelly Trio – November 24, 2023 – Jazz Guitar Life

"As I said in my producer’s note for the booklet, without question, the music here constitutes some of the most extended, elastic and SWINGING Wes Montgomery performances ever recorded."
