You are correct. He graduated from North Texas with a degree in music, and did room with Herb Ellis. They made an album together btw, which I have not listened to yet, but it’s on my list.

Jimmy Raney was not a performer at either festival. The guitarist in the clip perhaps was a local musician.

American for sure. BTW the amp was a Gibson, IIRC. I don't think anybody in Finland had one.
