I have great admiration for John Scofield.
I don't know any other guitarist in the world who has played in so many projects under his own name for so many years of his musical life.
And times are not easy.
John was also in my country again recently. Amazing.

His new album will be out on October 13. I am going to see him in November, on a bill with Frisell. Can’t wait.

Didn’t notice that at first, but you are right!

Wonder if it was planned or of it just happened In the moment.

Not the first time I have heard Scofield quote songs in his solos.
On his recording of Faded love he has a short quote of Down by the riverside.
