I love Anders Fardal’s playing, but especially on these videos. The tone he gets from his guitar (I know what it is - do you?) is just perfect, I think. His chord melody playing is always interesting, and he seems to enjoy it himself, and why not? I would too if I could play so well - simple even when complex, and unhurried. And his bass partner plays in a beautifully-supportive way. I’d love to see them play a full concert.

That's lovely, thank you for sharing. What's the secret tone sauce?

The guitar is a Levin Soloist, and he tends to play through an AER Alpha amp. Here's a lot of details about the Levin Soloist: Vintage Guitars, SWEDEN - Levin Solist information.
There's a DeLuxe version for sale at a great price in the UK - I would snap it up if I had the money: Levin De Luxe 1956 w/Pickup, All Original | Reverb

Is that a Kjell pickup on that Levin?

I don't have the knowledge to say yay or nay.

I think the shape looks right for a Kjell Mikrofonen. They are not well known at least not outside of Sweden (and maybe not in Sweden either). His sound seems about right. They are nice pickups.

This is really nice, thank you for sharing! Wonderful tone and great playing. Until recently there was a Levin like that for sale at TFOA in Holland. I briefly played it once. Very inspiring guitar. Here’s a clip of it (not me playing).
