Came across this when looking up Lage Lund's gear. Second page specifically states:

(No fender solid state amps under any circumstance.)

So bass & drums (instruments not players) are different every night! That sounds like fun.

Who TF is using a fax these days?

"[...] lighting equipment must be set up and ready for the sound check upon
arrival of artists. Sound check to take place at least 3 (THREE) hours prior to the show. There are
no special lighting requirements. The group tends to enjoy soft, filtered light on stage. [...]"

At the place where I used to work as lighting technician in another life with an (adaptable) avarage stage size of 13m x 6m and a rather big lighting rig you would have needed to know the exact positions of the musicians for focusing prior to arrival to fulfill this rider. Difficult without a touring crew of at least an FOH engineer who knows the exact positions. For the last of the years I worked there there were at least moving lights. On the other hand a jazz act like Lage Lund would rather have played the smaller venue next door. Max. 1200 standing vs. max 500 standing.

The rider will be for playing jazz clubs and jazz festivals in Europe, the latter being the larger stage. Lighting will be simple.

These tours are small, low cost operations. I’m not sure if Lage is checking his guitar in a good case or buying a seat for it (probably the latter) but obviously transport for the bass and drummers gear is not going to be covered by the budget and in any case shipping that gear by road would probably take too long. The drummer will take cymbals and sticks.

In terms of securing the technical rider it may typically involve the local jazz fans running around town unpaid to ensure the gig goes ahead. Ask David B haha. Obviously there was that one time Lage had to play a gig through a Fender Frontman or something and this is reflected in the rider lol. Local promoters and bookers often do not have a clue. I speak from my own experiences featuring some extremely random backlines over the years haha.

One time Larry Goldings turned up to the Pizza Express and there was no Hammond Organ. No one thought on booking one the best known jazz organ trios in the biz that it might be a good idea to organise a Hammond. This happens ALL THE TIME.

Ron Carter doesn’t even tour with his bass.

He’s said on tour his practice routine is 20 minutes of playing the major scale on a bass he’s never held right before they go onstage.

My '65 reissue Deluxe Reverb has got me in to a lot of gigs over the years!
