Vic Juris with Kate Baker

Of course, we all miss the incredibly talented Vic Juris, but I did not know about his last release (posthumously) with his lovely wife, Kate Baker - the lessons in comping alone make this worthy of a year's worth of study for me, but Kate has a lovely voice, phrasing, timing, etc. Not knowing of her, I was hoping it was not some kind of personal release that might otherwise not leave much of an impression, but wow, it's truly great!

Produced by his good friend and amazing guitarist, Dave Stryker, who I've known and followed for nearly 50 years and who is a kind and dedicated friend of all those in the jazz community.

This recording is a must have and will put a smile on your face! You can get it at Bandcamp (and probably get more $$ into Kate's account that way, plus you can listen to the whole thing before purchase) -
