Try if this works. If you click on the video buttons a pop-up appears with a streaming and a download option.

    UK's OK :-)

Interesting film. I have the feeling that if he'd been asked the right questions he'd have come out with some wonderful stuff. They weren't digging enough, or maybe not in the right way.

    Interesting website altogether, methinks.

Glad you are able to watch it.

Yes this is public quality TV. (There is another public cooperation between Germany, Austria and Switzerland called 3sat that is similar, you have probably seen the logo in many live recordings on YouTube.)

While watching Monk I missed that there was a Stochelo Rosenberg live stream tonight but it will be in the “Mediathek” later.

I do not have a Dropbox account or similar, maybe someone can download it from the second link I posted and put it up for those who cannot watch it. FCK DRM — free internet for all.

Very cool. I watched straight no chaser and american composer a lot in the 00s. Nice to see a new doc. He was funny! Really docile and friendly then very intelligent with his music.

So you can watch videos on Arte TV’s website in the US?

No the Arte TV one didn't work for me, the 2nd one you posted did.

I think availability is restricted to France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Monaco, Austria, and Switzerland. Some content can be seen in the UK (I can see quite a few things. Many films have multi-lingual subtitles).

BUT, as far as I can make out, those in the US can watch it if they don't mind buying a VPN.

The second one is a website where they collect direct links (maybe it is working automatically now — not sure) to streaming videos on websites from German, Austrian and Swiss TV (and arte). And you can download them from that site. There is a Java app, too, I think but the website is much more comfortable — doing it from the browser.

Crazy. Just get out of Iran.

Beforehand, of course, not now he's locked up. And simply begging for them to increase his sentence... or am I missing something?

Same thing with the BBC. British content producers don't like American copyright protection very much. I don't know the specific issues but this is a recurrent thing for those of us on the left side of the pond. And who knows, maybe the BBC's contract with PBS is such that they have to restrict making content available in the US. Our local PBS station does not carry Doctor Who, for example, and it is damn near impossible to see it here unless your local PBS station broadcasts it. But if you get a VPN, you can watch just fine which really underlines just how stupid these restrictions are, since they are basically unenforceable with trivial workarounds.

Get a VPN connection, like Surfshark, and you can watch TV all over the world.
