This beaut of a composition kicks off with a figure played over an E pedal and then moves around over the IV and the V. All simple Emaj melodies, but played with a great, delicate touch. Love the dynamics coming from the band. Then suddenly the mood changes in the middle improv section and we are taken down a path of tricky altered harmony, chromatics and side-stepping... I love the concept of making a whole section tense, and slightly dark, to then resolve back to the original simple "innocent" motif.

We just got our first snowfall of the winter, and this lovely tune seems to have floated in along with all the snowflakes. Thanks for sharing.

A Tex Mex Strat that he's played since he was 13. Strung with 13s.

    Nice, thanks for the post.

Metheny and Frisell influences, or so it seems to me, but personal too. A bit more bluesy in sections than those two masters - which was appreciated. Good stuff!

His latest record is a damn instrumental prog masterpiece.
