gotta disagree there. i find the poll winners albums pretty tame. nothing wrong with them, just a little safe. i mean, barney's barney--he sounds good as always, and ray brown's rock solid (again, as always)

i guess, as i stated months and months ago in the "players i don't get" thread--shelly manne just bores me. JMHO, YMMV.
