Hey I realize I am years late to this thread!

I've studied with Lorne for 4 years. He is an amazing player. He's on a lot of recordings! I will list some here. Dive into this stuff! Lorne is the best.

Live at the Renaissance II (Sometimes titled "Live at Buffalo")- Chet Baker
Dog's Breakfast- Barry Elmes (CHECK THIS OUT)
One Take Volume One- Joey DeFrancesco
Northern Ontario Suite-Joe Sullivan Big Band
Live at the Salle Playal (1996)-Oscar Peterson
An Oscar Peterson Christmas- Oscar Peterson (Seasonal...but great)
    Sophisticated Ladies- Peter Appleyard
Edification (Ed Bickert Tribute)-Lorne Lofsky Trio
    Unfamiliar Surroundings-Joe Sullivan Big Band

There are more than this for sure, but there are the ones that come to mind. Theres a discography on his website Full Discography – Lorne Lofsky

He is truly a great musician. I've been fortunate enough to hear him play live with some really heavy players, and they always seem impressed with him. Chris Potter, Dave Holland, Mike LeDonne...lots of cats.

Lorne is a great player. I saw him play a couple times at a Whistler jazz festival (it was the festival's last year unfortunately) in 2011. That was the year I got serious about guitar.

He sounds especially great in that jam clip above with Peter Bernstein.

Great player. Kind of in that Ed Bickert vein, but his own thing.

OP, thanks for starting this, I'm due for a LL binge listen today, I think.
I agree; I discovered Lorne many years ago from a Oscar Peterson record, and went out and purchased the few records \ CDs I could find that he was on.

I heard he made another record with EB besides 'This Is New', but it was never released. Those guitarists from Toronto like Bickert, LL and Reg Schwaeger are mothers.

I once lent my TwinReverb to Lorne for an evening when he played a concert in my hometown. I didn't know him before that, but i got very impressed by his playing. The promoter gave me one of his CD's which i like a lot - https://www.allmusic.com/album/bill-please-mw0000047032

Toots pointed at me and said, "You, slave, move the amp from here to there." Both he and Ron didn't even thank me for the amp. They could see I was in awe of them, so I took it like a uh, kid.

A student arranger from Eastman was there, getting his piece played by the Festival All-Star Orchestra, and Ron Carter took his bass part and threw it on the floor, saying he refused to play the part because it was too sloppy to read. Everything was written by hand back then, unless you were with a publisher.
The arranger went into a panic, because the concert started in half an hour, and he had to rewrite the part perfectly or Ron wouldn't play it. I've never seen anyone work in such a frenzy!
Lorne was obviously demanding a Twin and i seem to be the only guy in the area who is known to still own one, so the promoter was very kind, offered me even some money for it, came to pick it up and brought it back himself.

Ron has a reputation to be "unkind" to fans, i didn't know about Toots.
However, Lorne thanked me for it and i had a good talk with him after the concert

I found a pdf online (attached), which is the booklet of examples that came with Lorne Lofsky's out-of-print instructional DVD entitled, "Lorne Lofsky Approaches To Jazz Vol. I"

And I found this YouTube track of Lorne playing one of the examples:
