    Yeah, not jazz. I know.
But I like both guys, they'll be playing a gig nearby, it's around my birthday, I'm thinking, why the heck not, honey?
    We'll see what she says.
Either way, I thought others here might appreciate a heads up

John Fogerty Announces 2026 US Tour with Steve Winwood

    Always loved Fogerty's swampy riffs.

I've liked Winwood since his days in Traffic. "Low Spark" is one of my all-time favorite albums. But in this setting, he will be the opening act, not the headliner.

I saw Stevie last year, opening for the Doobie Bros. It was SO good to hear him, surprising amount of great songs in his arsenal.
He could have easily been the headliner, although the Doobies were really great too.

    Go and enjoy!!!

I’ve always been a Winwood fan, but I’ve never seen him live. Loved John Barleycorn.

Fogerty played here several years back and he was excellent. Total professional and every song was majestic. I was even more of a fan afterwards and it turned my wife into a superfan!

    Have a great time!

When I was in high school, I saw Stevie with the original Traffic, the band that's on their first album, with Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood. They were fantastic, Stevie played a Hammond B-3 organ, Chris was on flute and sax - jazz-rock really, they played a lot of non traffic tunes such as Nina Simone's 'Feeling Good'.

That must've been a great show! Always liked Traffic, esp Mr. Fantasy, John Barleycorn, Low Spark, and the live album On The Road.

This is how the On The Road record came out in Europe (two discs.) The US / Canada version was a single album.

Looking at the track listing of this album, I'm thinking that the two live tracks are from the concert I attended at Fillmore West (or from another set if it was a two night engagement, don't recall) -- Last Exit - Traffic | Album | AllMusic

John Fogerty and Stevie Winwood on the same tour sounds amazing! Not exactly jazz, but honestly I’d go too, especially if it’s near my birthday. I was just looking at ticket options, and the tickets center phone number actually got me through to someone who helped with seat choices, so that might be worth a call if anyone here is thinking about going.

I saw Steve Winwood about a decade ago with Eric Clapton. Great show.

Winwood and Clapton did some songs where they both played Strats and traded solos. Steve was burning—almost as good as Clapton.

He is known for playing B3 of course, but can play just about anything. I think he played all the lead instruments except horns on John Barleycorn and Low Spark with Traffic, for instance.

A polymath of the music world. A Mozart for our times.

I’ve never seen John Fogarty, but of course listened to him a gazillion times. He is no slouch as a guitarist either and captures those vintage vibes of the late ‘50s and ‘60s as well as anyone.

Best see your 1960s icons soon. They don’t have too many more tours left in them.
