I was there. Outstanding concert. Got Herb Ellis' autograph on a direct to disk recording. Talked to him briefly. Nice guy. Incredible player. The other two guys (Barney Kessel and Charlie Byrd) weren't slouch's either. For those who are not aware, The Maintenance Shop is on The Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa.

I was there and have looked for a video of this night off and on over the years. Thanks for making it available. One of three or four music events that left a huge impression. It was a great venue.

Wasn't this broadcast on PBS around that time, 1979-1980? I seem to recall seeing this on my fuzzy local UHF channel. I would have been 17-18 and so indiscriminately in love with jazz guitar I devoured everything I could. I was just knocked out by this

Three one hour VHS tapes from the Maintenance Shop were published in the UK by Kjazz. I have all three. This is Volume 2. Unfortunately volume 3 is a very bad copy and will not play well. Great music!!
